Ben Larson & Jonathan Heller were presenters at the EcoBuilding 2014: Building Transformation Through Transparency Conference. Ben’s presentation, What, When, and How Much | Whole-house Energy Use Across the Pacific Northwest focused on the newly completed Residential Baseline Stock Assessment Metering (RBSAM) Project. The study uncovered what devices are using energy, when energy is being used and how much – providing builders, homeowners and designers with effective tools for optimizing energy use in the home.
Jon’s presentation, Heat Pump Water Heaters in Residential Buildings shared five years of research on heat pump water heaters ranging from small packaged residential tanks to large commercial equipment, with recommendations for the most effective use of various types of systems, adapted to specific building types.
